Today, I went on a hunt for some leather leggings and a fur vest for the latest trend we’re working on in the office. This trend is kind of a Baroque and Roll look. Imagine walking into the closet of Prince or Jimmy Hendrix. Here’s a shot of the trend board I have for this look:
After walking down 5th Avenue for an hour, looking in shop after shop, I stumbled upon H&M. First of all, I never really liked this store but as soon as I walk in I see a DJ!
Besides the rockin tunes they had literally EVERYTHING I needed. They had tons of this Prince look, they had the vagabond look AND they had a bunch of 60's inspired greatness. And the sales? OH god, the sales! Amazing! Everything was totally on trend and super cute, going for $5-$15.
I ended up getting my leather leggings and instead of finding a fur vest I found this wondrous jacket that is way perfect.
Ahhh I've been wanting leather leggings forever!!! When I lose weight I'm borrowing yours. Also, I agree about H & M the ones I've been to in LA, San Fran and New York (five years ago) sucked... but if it's good now, then we're def going there when I visit! :)
